I’m hard at work editing and revising my story The Kefi (you can still read the original version on this page) , but I wanted to pop on here and give my new and old subscribers a little something to tide y’all over.
Here are a couple of story starter paragraphs I’ve come up with. Not sure if they will ever become full stories but thought you might enjoy a little behind the scenes at Necessary Fiction. Have a blessed day!
JOSEF
When a fat smelly rat the size of a mid-sized European car grabbed Josef’s best friend in broad daylight, he ran after it without hesitation.
HARRY’S DEAD FRIENDS
Harry Halverstein wasn’t fond of knives. That’s not to say he never used them. He could kill a man with them easier than most people could change a tire, but he didn’t like them. They just got the job done.
Harry WAS fond of dead people. Not in any sort of creepy CW show way. It was more of a defense mechanism than anything else. Dead people don’t expect anything from you, and they no longer see the point of hating you.
Harry especially appreciated that part. Most times, it felt like every living person he’d ever met despised him.
Harry’s Dead Friends has caught my attention for sure!!
